Starting in 2010, Bountiful Broad started out as a Mommy Blog and a place to share all of her projects, thoughts, and photos. Before long, she realized that there was a need for someone to show that you can have a sustainable permaculture homestead, even in a small neighborhood backyard.
After several years of trial and error, through many mistakes and triumphs, Alicia is ready to share how she runs her suburban permaculture plot. Providing tips, tricks, how-tos, and what not to do so that you too can have the homestead you’ve always dreamed of but didn’t think was possible where you are.
Alicia Heil and her family live in Edmond, Oklahoma in a suburban neighborhood subdivision with a small backyard. She grows fruits, flowers, and veggies, cans and preserves food, sews clothes for her kids, loves to fish and camp, bakes a ton of bread, and is a licensed ham radio operator.
Grow where you’re planted.
